Reliable’s Employee Spotlight: Brittany Pulley
Brittany Pulley is a Resupply Supervisor based at our headquarters in Norwood, Mass. She has been an instrumental member of the Reliable team as we continue to grow across New England. For our first Employee Spotlight, we sat down with Brittany to learn about her and her role at Reliable.
What is a typical day like as a Resupply Supervisor?
No day is ever the same – which I like! I spend a lot of my time traveling to Reliable’s other remote offices in Massachusetts and across New England. I am a resource to answer my team members’ questions, and I help them feel comfortable in all aspects of their training. As they go through the training process, I like to be able to lend a hand if they need extra educational support.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I really enjoy making connections with team members from different offices and working closely with other members of the Resupply team. Reliable also goes out of its way to help foster relationships within our team and across the department – last month the whole Resupply team had dinner together, which was a lot of fun. It’s nice getting to know one another across different offices and departments because it helps us work more effectively as a team.
How long have you been a part of the Reliable team?
I just celebrated my two-year anniversary! I started in the Compliance department, where my role was to help patients get used to their CPAP machines, and to make sure they met therapy guidelines to secure their insurance coverage. From there, I moved to the Resupply department, where I became more involved in coordinating orders and dispatching therapists to patients. I was promoted to a supervisor role this past February.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I really like watching football and basketball, playing with my dog, and spending time with family. I also love to travel whenever I get the chance – some of my favorite adventures have been to Mexico, Disney, and Las Vegas!
What’s the best part of working at Reliable?
Patient interactions are some of our most rewarding parts of the job. Usually patients are frustrated when they find out they have to participate in sleep therapy treatments and use a CPAP machine. They’ve slept their whole lives without CPAP masks, and they’re frustrated at the prospect that they’re going to have to sleep with a machine for the foreseeable future.
Our team does a great job of making them feel comfortable, both with the machine and with their treatment. They appreciate that we take the time to meet with them one-on-one and alleviate some of their fear or misinformation about sleep therapy. They leave happy, because they feel more confident about their treatment, and they know this treatment will improve their quality of life.
