We offer high-tech, high-quality invasive and non-invasive ventilation devices, and our Home Ventilation Program is predicated on the AARC Clinical Practice Guidelines.

Non-invasive ventilation (NIV) supports the patient’s breathing without the need for intubation or a tracheotomy. NIV delivers effective therapy with less risk of infection and improved survival in patients with respiratory failure.

Ventilation therapy makes the “work” of breathing easier; it treats the patient at home, rather than in a hospital, improving their quality of life and saving both patient and healthcare system money.

During your time at home on a ventilator, our goals will be:
  • To make the transition from the hospital to your home as smooth and safe as possible.
  • To provide you with equipment and supplies specific to your needs
  • To minimize your chance of acquiring a respiratory infection
  • To help you and your family become as independent as possible in providing home ventilator care
Conditions commonly treated with Non-Invasive Ventilation:
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), with emphysema and/or bronchitis
  • Pneumonia
  • Acute lung injury
  • Acute respiratory distress syndrome
  • Asthma
  • Obesity hypoventilation syndrome (OHS)
  • Neuromuscular disease (NMD)
  • Chest wall disorders
  • Breathing impairment due to a spinal cord injury
Benefits of noninvasive ventilation:
  • Increase respiratory function and decrease the work of breathing
  • Reduce daytime somnolence
  • Improve overall sleep quality
  • May reduce hospital time and prevent disease from worsening
  • Improve quality of life
